Apply for AlphaFirst Officer is not a content site, an affiliate referral engine, or a credit card application funnel. It is a points and miles intelligence service delivered through WhatsApp, with no commission paid by any bank or program. Building that takes a tight feedback loop with people who actually run the spend. Fifty of you, free, for 60 days. Five hundred more at a founding rate that does not expire while you stay subscribed.
Counts above pull live from our system. The link to this page is not in the navigation. If you forwarded it to someone, ask them to message FirstOfficer first.
Fifty seats. Three categories of invitee: people who once tried the older First Officer beta, the most engaged subscribers to the UpNonStop weekly dispatch, and a small set of warm contacts. If you are reading this, you are in one of those three.
Reply with the AlphaGate code TurningLeft on WhatsApp. Ohad confirms within 24 hours.
Five hundred paid seats across personal and business tiers. Most tiers carry a flat 50 percent founding discount off list. The discount is locked the day you start and stays locked for as long as you remain subscribed. Your rate travels with you if you upgrade or downgrade. Doors close June 30 at 11:59pm Eastern.

Founding membership is a trade. The price you pay (or do not, in alpha) is calibrated to the feedback signal you send back. Here it is, plain.
The product lives where your messages live. No app to install, no dashboard to log into. Here is one snippet from a real founding alpha onboarding.
First Officer advises. You execute. We never set defaults, change cards, or transact on your behalf. Every recommendation is yours to act on, your way, at your pace.
Twenty-four questions, answered straight. Anything not covered, message FirstOfficer on WhatsApp.
Alpha is the first 50 seats, open May 1 to May 31 by invitation only. Free for 60 days. To claim a seat, reply on WhatsApp with the AlphaGate code TurningLeft. The trade is feedback: a three minute Sunday survey weekly, inline notes prefixed with “Feedback:” whenever something works or breaks, and one short testimonial we can publish if you would honestly give one. You are picked from a small pool of warm contacts and engaged subscribers. Direct line to Ohad during the 60 days. On day 61, you can lock in Founding rates for life.
Beta is the next 500 seats, open June 1 to June 30. Beta is claimed by Stripe pre-purchase: the act of paying secures one of the 500 founding slots, first come first served. Every paid tier carries a flat 50 percent founding discount, locked. The rate is locked the day you start and stays locked for as long as you remain subscribed (the Concierge tier locks for 12 months only). No survey loop. Same direct line, same Saturday dispatch.
Founding closes June 30 at 11:59pm Eastern. After that, list pricing applies, no exceptions.
Two reasons.
The first is product. First Officer needs honest feedback from real subscribers before it scales, and honest feedback comes from people with skin in the game (paid founders) or people who feel the product was offered in good faith (free alpha members). Acquiring 550 of those people across two months is worth more than the discount we are giving up, because it lets us ship better, faster, and against real spending behavior, not assumptions.
The second is positioning. A founding cohort gives us recurring revenue, real testimonials, and the kind of word of mouth that paid acquisition cannot buy. We would rather give that value to early members than to ad networks. The math works as long as we hold the cap at 500 paid seats, which is why the doors close.
Doors close at 11:59pm Eastern, June 30, 2026. After that, the public site at firstofficer.upnonstop.com lists full pricing only. There is no second window, no extension, no special pricing for friends, no waitlist that converts to founding pricing later. The founding rate is reserved for founding members.
Founding members already inside keep their lock as long as they remain subscribed. New members from July 1, 2026 onward join at list price. That is the contract.
If you refer one paying founding member before June 30, you receive a one-time credit equal to one month of your tier. Up to four referrals, four credits. A Reserve member who refers four others, for example, gets $118 in credits applied to upcoming invoices.
To refer, message FirstOfficer on WhatsApp with the contact. We handle the introduction and confirm the referral once they convert. There is no public referral code during the alpha and beta windows.
No cash payout. The credit is the reward. We do not pay referral commissions for the same reason we do not take affiliate revenue from card issuers: it changes the incentive in ways that compromise the advice.
First Officer turns the points and miles you already earn into trips and value you actually use. Vendor mapping, multiplier routing, transfer math, award booking research, delivered through messages, with no commission paid by any bank or program. That is the product. Ohad is the founder behind it, and during alpha and the early weeks of beta you are talking to him directly when you message the WhatsApp line.
As the cohort grows, Scout handles the onboarding questions and Ohad steps in for the strategic ones. The line is always there.
No. First Officer lives entirely inside WhatsApp, which you already have. There is no app, no dashboard, no login portal, no browser extension. The product is messages.
This is a deliberate choice. Points strategy works best when it shows up in the place you actually pay attention. WhatsApp delivers a snapshot to the same screen you use for everything else, with read receipts and the ability to reply with a question whenever something is unclear. No app fatigue, no second password.
If you do not use WhatsApp, message FirstOfficer on email and we will figure something out.
A snapshot is a personalised summary of your portfolio, sent as a WhatsApp message every Sunday morning. It includes:
Snapshots are reviewed and edited by Ohad before sending. They are not auto generated. Reserve and Concierge tiers also receive a mid-week pulse if something material changes (a transfer bonus opens, a card category shifts).
Sunday morning: snapshot arrives.
Monday through Friday: nothing scheduled. You message us when you have a question. Common ones: which card to use for an upcoming purchase, whether to transfer points now or wait, whether a card offer is worth taking. Most replies are same business day.
Saturday morning: the UpNonStop dispatch arrives in your inbox. Free, and goes to everyone, member or not. It covers the week in points and miles: notable rate changes, devaluations, transfer bonuses, deals worth knowing about. Members have already seen the most relevant items in their snapshot.
Beyond that, members on Reserve and Concierge get periodic check-ins from Ohad: roughly every 6 to 8 weeks for a portfolio review and a forward-looking strategy session via WhatsApp voice note.
No. First Officer is purely advisory. We never log into your accounts, transfer points, change card defaults, apply for cards on your behalf, or transact in any form. We tell you the move, why it matters, and how to make it. You make the call.
This is a deliberate boundary, not a limitation. Independence requires that you control your own portfolio. Convenience features (auto-route, auto-transfer) are not on our roadmap.
Plaid is optional, available on Select tier and above. When you connect, we receive read-only access to your card transactions: merchant name, category, amount, date. We do not see your card numbers, full account numbers, balances, statements, or any login credentials. Plaid handles all the authentication.
What we use it for: better category accuracy. Plaid tells us which merchant codes as wholesale (1x), which codes as software (3x or 4x), which codes as advertising. Without Plaid, we work from your stated spend ranges and the standard merchant code mappings.
You can disconnect Plaid in your account at any time. We delete the transaction data within 30 days of disconnect.
Right now, First Officer is US-only. The advisory is calibrated to US issuer rules (5/24, business application strategies, US-specific transfer partners), US merchant category coding, and US tax treatment. Expanding to UK, Canada, or Australia is on the roadmap but not in 2026.
If you are a US resident with international travel and foreign currency spend, that works fine. The recommendation engine handles cross-border category coding and currency conversion impacts.
If you are based outside the US but have US cards in your portfolio, the answer is partly. Message FirstOfficer with your specifics before subscribing.
Personal Classic: Founding $9.50 against $19 list. $114 saved every year you stay subscribed.
Personal Select: Founding $19.50 against $39 list. $234 saved every year.
Personal Reserve: Founding $29.50 against $59 list. $354 saved every year.
Business Preferred: Founding $99.50 against $199 list. $1,194 saved every year.
Business Signature: Founding $174.50 against $349 list. $2,094 saved every year.
Business Concierge: Founding $274.50 against $549 list during the 12-month founding window. $3,294 saved across that year, then your rate moves to the then-current Concierge list price.
The savings compound for as long as you remain subscribed (or for 12 months on Concierge). Three years on Personal Reserve is $1,062 you do not pay. The founding badge stays on your account regardless of tier. New features that ship behind a paywall are included in your founding tier first. The dollars are real, but the badge is the lasting asset: you are member 1 through 550, and that is on the account forever.
Yes, anytime. Every founding tier carries the same 50 percent discount, so moving between tiers keeps your founding status intact. Move from Classic ($9.50) to Select, your new rate is $19.50. Move down, the same rule applies.
Mid-month switches are prorated. You will see the change reflected on your next Stripe invoice.
You can cancel anytime through the Stripe customer portal at billing.stripe.com or by messaging FirstOfficer. Your access continues to the end of the paid period. No save flow, no retention call, no dark patterns.
If you cancel and rejoin later, you rejoin at list price. The founding rate is reserved for founders who stayed continuously subscribed. This is the cost of leaving and the value of staying.
You can also pause once a year, up to 30 days, without breaking the lock. Travel, vacations, slow seasons. Message FirstOfficer to pause.
No. Subscriptions are month to month, billed monthly through Stripe. There is no contract, no annual commitment, no minimum term you owe.
The founding rate is a price commitment from us to you, not an obligation from you. The day you start, your rate is locked. It does not expire on a calendar date. As long as you remain a subscriber, the rate you signed up at is the rate you pay, month after month, year after year. We will never quietly raise it on you while you are a member.
One exception: Concierge. The Concierge tier locks at 50 percent off ($274.50 against $549 list) for 12 months from your start date. After 12 months, your rate moves to the then-current Concierge list price. The setup-waiver is yours regardless.
You can cancel anytime. The cost of doing so is that you lose the founding rate if you ever come back. The founding rate is for founding members who stayed.
Business tiers (Preferred, Signature, Concierge) are typically deductible as a business expense or professional advisory service in the US, similar to how an accountant or consultant is treated. Personal tiers are personal expenses, not deductible.
Stripe receipts are itemised with company name, EIN-friendly, and downloadable from the customer portal. Bring them to your CPA. We do not give tax advice ourselves.
$500 per trip is the flat fee for award booking research. Fee is paid once research begins, not at the end. The trip can be one-way, round-trip, or multi-city. Up to four passengers in one record.
What it includes:
Concierge tier members get unlimited award booking research per quarter, no per-trip fee.
Standard turnaround: 24 to 72 hours from when we receive your route, dates, and passenger details. Most domestic and one-way international bookings come back inside 48 hours.
Complex multi-leg routes or high-demand windows (peak holiday, business class to premium destinations) can take up to a week. We tell you upfront when the request is going to need extra time.
If we cannot find usable availability after exhausting reasonable options, the fee is refunded in full. We tell you that before charging.
Yes. Most of what First Officer does, a determined and patient person can do themselves. The information exists publicly across forums, blogs, and program websites. We are not selling secret knowledge.
What we are selling is time and execution. To do this well yourself requires:
If that sounds enjoyable, do it yourself. If it sounds like a part-time job, that is what we are here for.
It does not take any commission, referral fee, or affiliate revenue from any credit card issuer, points program, hotel chain, or airline. Ever. That is the entire reason First Officer exists. Independence is the product.
Revenue comes from one place: subscriber fees. Which means recommendations are based on what is best for your situation, not on what pays the most per click. If the best card for you is one that pays no affiliate commission, that is what we recommend. If the best transfer is to a partner with no referral kickback, that is the move we suggest.
This is the entire pitch. It is also the reason we cannot scale by buying ad inventory the way affiliate sites do. We are betting that being right matters more than being loud.
What we collect: card names you tell us, monthly spend ranges, loyalty programs you participate in, travel goals, and (if you connect Plaid on Select tier or above) read-only transaction data.
What we do not collect: card numbers, account credentials, full account numbers, balances, login passwords, or any financial information that could be used to authenticate as you. None of it touches our systems.
Where it is stored: Supabase, US-based, encrypted at rest. Conversation history on WhatsApp is retained to maintain context for your portfolio. We do not sell, share, repurpose, or train models on your data.
Deletion: message FirstOfficer to delete your account, or use the Do Not Sell My Info link in the footer. Your data is removed within 30 days. The Privacy Policy linked in the footer has the full breakdown.
Three reasons.
First, it is how people find us. The dispatch is the front door. Most members of First Officer were dispatch readers first. Keeping it free and high quality is the most honest form of marketing we can do.
Second, it disciplines our writing. Free content has to earn its open every Saturday morning, against email clients full of other things to read. That standard makes everything else better.
Third, members deserve access to the full picture, not the paywalled fragment. Members get the dispatch on the same day everyone else does. The advantage they get is that the snapshot earlier in the week already addressed the items most relevant to their situation.
Cancel. We will not chase you, dark pattern you, or run a save flow. Founding members who try the product and decide it is not for them keep their snapshots and any award trips already booked, and they keep the Saturday dispatch which is free for everyone.
If something is broken, message FirstOfficer first. Half the time, what looks like the product not working is something we can fix in an hour and would rather know about. The Sunday survey loop in alpha exists for exactly this reason: surface what is wrong before someone walks away over it.
If you are a paid Beta member and the product genuinely does not fit your spend pattern in the first 30 days, message FirstOfficer. We will refund the first month and part on good terms. We would rather have a small refund and an honest review than a stuck subscriber.
Alpha is open by invitation through May 31. Reply on WhatsApp with the AlphaGate code TurningLeft. Beta opens June 1 by Stripe pre-purchase. After June 30 at 11:59pm Eastern, full pricing applies.
